Huntsville native and Alabama star golfer Nick Dunlap has received an invitation to golf's most iconic stage. He announced today that he will compete in the 2024 Masters Tournament.
Back in August, Dunlap became the second Crimson Tide golfer to win the U.S. Amateur, qualifying him for the 2024 Masters, U.S. Open and British Open Championship.
Dunlap has had a productive year both personally and with the Crimson Tide. He was Alabama's top golfer on the team during the fall season, averaging 67.00 strokes per round and 4 under par.
The last Alabama golfer to win the U.S. Amateur was Jerry Pate in 1974, who won the U.S. Open two years later.

Even more incredible, Dunlap joins Tiger Woods as the only golfers in history to win both the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Junior Amateur, which Dunlap won in 2021.
Dunlap has played in the past two U.S. Opens and the Amateur, and is required to qualify for both, but with his U.S. Amateur win, he will be exempt in 2024.
Look out for Dunlap as golf's next Alabama superstar.
