Alan Dershowitz Discusses His Greatest Concerns Regarding the Epstein Case Files

Concerns Over Upcoming Release of Epstein Case Files

Legal expert Alan Dershowitz expressed his worries to Newsmax about the impending release of Jeffrey Epstein’s case files on Thursday.

During an appearance on “The Records of Greta Van Susteren,” Dershowitz articulated his concern that these files may only showcase false accusations while neglecting evidence that could counter those claims. He emphasized the importance of differentiating between truth and misinformation.

“I’m apprehensive that the files will present only the false accusations, without any context to suggest their inaccuracy,” he stated.

Dershowitz brought up Maria Farmer, who was one of the earliest to report Epstein’s misconduct in 1996. He also mentioned Sarah Ransom, claiming that she, along with Ghislaine Maxwell, is not truly a victim as they allege.

“They aren’t victims. They are perpetrators. They deserve to be in prison, not celebrated as victims,” he added, suggesting that the truth lies in the testimony of individuals present at the time, like Ghislaine Maxwell.

Dershowitz expressed hope that Maxwell would reach a deal regarding her testimony. “I believe she should serve a longer sentence compared to others involved in similar crimes,” he said.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced plans to meet with Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker, soon to discuss potential evidence linked to the Epstein case. The Justice Department has approached her legal team to determine whether she is open to cooperating with prosecutors, amid pressure from various figures within former President Donald Trump’s circle regarding Epstein’s trafficking operations.

Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for her role in grooming a young girl who was sexually abused by Epstein, previously faced scrutiny after Epstein’s death in prison in 2019 under suspicious circumstances. A leaked memo from Trump’s DOJ claimed that Epstein lacked a “client list,” contradicting longstanding speculation about high-profile individuals’ involvement in his crimes.

This announcement follows previous disclosures from the Trump administration regarding the “Epstein File” shared with conservative influencers, where it was noted that Attorney General Pam Bondi had stated no such “client list” exists.
