Lake Havasu City, Arizona — May 162023) – Readers of all ages are invited to participate in the Mojave County Library’s summer reading program, “All Together Now.” The themes of activities include “friends forever”, “connection with the community”, “useful science”, “expanding the world”, “working and playing together”, and “kindness to everyone”. included.
The kickoff event will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 2:00 pm in Community Rooms A/B of the County’s Lake Havasu City Library. ITR features Lovely Buttons, a family and children’s entertainer, professional clown, giggle therapist, and smile manipulator from Tempe, Arizona.
The Summer 2023 Reading Program is open to all ages. Activities are planned for babies, toddlers, children, teens and adults and may include group games, crafts, art projects, story time and science and engineering experiments.
Weekly program days and times, and target ages are as follows:
Tuesday 9:30 am – Adult program for ages 18+. Activities include cork flags, heart sun catchers, salt scrubs, pressed flower lanterns and jute coasters. Registration required.
Tuesday, June 6, 2pm – Naked Eye Astronomy
Wednesday 9:30am – Baby Jamboree for ages 0-2. Promotes early literacy through rhymes, repetitions, movements, songs and play for toddlers.
Thursday 10:30am – Toddler story time for ages 2-5. Practice early reading and writing through stories, music and movement.
Thursday 1pm – Teen Party for ages 12-18. Activities include journaling, games, trivia, painting, and more.
Friday 10am – Beginner Program for ages 5-11. Activities include art, the Turing Tumble, the Rube Goldberg Machine, and more.
The Summer Reading Finals will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 9:00 am. Activities include space poetry, games, giant crossword puzzles, Summer His Reading raffle and more.
