Humane Society Needs Donors
The Humane Society of Central Arizona has donors willing to donate up to $10,000 to purchase a new box truck.
Current trucks are in disrepair and new trucks are desperately needed to continue collecting donations for the Society’s resale store and animals.

Get the forms you need today to get help with Payson AARP Foundation Tax-Aide’s free federal and state tax preparation and e-filing.
Forms to be completed prior to booking can be picked up at Payson Elks Lodge, 1206 N. Beeline Hwy. 19 and 26.
Free tax consultations and e-filing are available by appointment from Tuesday, January 31 through Tuesday, April 18. Appointment line is open at 928-487-1174. All ages are welcome and do not need to be members of AARP.

The Payson Tea Party will be held on Tuesday, January 17th from 6:30pm to 8:15pm at Ponderosa Bible Church, 1800 N. Beeline Highway.

Breast Cancer Support Group Meets Thursday
The Breast Cancer Support Group will hold its monthly meeting at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 19, at the Senior Apartment “Common Room” at 311 S. McLean Road, on the corner of McLane and Wade, just behind the high school.

The recent Line Dancing class at the Payson Public Library (328 N. McLane Road) was so popular that the offer has been extended.
Line Dance classes are now running with Jolene on Thursdays from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. These classes are for intermediate and advanced students. Doris’ classes on Fridays from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm for beginners and from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm for intermediates. There are no classes on the second Friday of every month.
Tonto Basin food distribution January 20
The Desert Community Christian Fellowship Church in Tonto Basin will be holding a monthly Food Stamp on Friday, January 20th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm behind the church building.

Emergency handouts are available upon request by calling the number above.
Food pantry distributions are held on the third Friday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm behind the DCCF Church.
Tonto Basin Native Plant Society
The Tonto Basin AZ Native Plant Society Chapter meeting will be held on Saturday, January 21 from 10:00 am to noon at 268 E. Stephens Way, Tonto Basin. The address is VFW, off Hwy 188, behind the Desert Community Christian Fellowship Church. Head to the meeting place behind the church.
A discussion is scheduled on ‘Exploring the benefits of local native plants’. After the presentation, there will be a scavenger hunt for the plants highlighted in the program in native gardens.

Concert association hosts Jackie Wilson tribute
Acclaimed actor/singer and Broadway star Chester Gregory will perform Jackie Wilson’s biggest hits in a live concert on Sunday, January 22 at 2:30 PM at Payson High School Auditorium. blow in.
Gregory made his Broadway debut in Hairspray. He became a full-time actor and performer after playing the lead role in the critically acclaimed stage play The Jackie Wilson Story.
