Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover facility, said in News Max Tuesday that the obsessive-compulsive behavior of the left was self-destructive and “kill your own party.”
In a speech during the Human Rights Campaign Monday night, Texas Democrat Representative Jasmine Crockett, called Texas Governor Greg Abbott, called the wheelchair “Governor Hot Wheels” and described him as “hot donkey confusion.” When he appeared in “Rob Schmidt Tonight,” Hanson said Democrats’ political rhetoric against Trump exacerbates political division and reduces the credibility of the opposition.
“They’re on Pro Hama’s side, pro-terrorism advocates. They’re on the side of gang members. They’re on the side of the organization designated by the terrorists. You have Jasmine Crockett threatens Ted Cruz with physical harm. Now she calls Texas governor “Hot Wheels” disabled,” Hanson said.
Hanson cited the low approval rates of these strategies and compared them to addictions that damage rather than benefit the parties who employ them.
clock:
“They seem almost like addicts. What they’re doing is fixed and they know that it’s killing their party. It’s down with about 27% approval, and like all addicts, they have to have their fixes and even knowing they’re killing them, they can’t stop,” Hanson added.
Hanson also criticized the ongoing legal action he said was designed to delay rather than bring about substantial results. (Related: ” ” 700 District Judge pretends to be President”: Ginrich says it makes it impossible for us to survive)
“I think they feel that by the time this reaches the federal court for the appeal district and reaches the Supreme Court, they have succeeded in their strategy,” Hanson said. “And that’s part of a bigger effort. The violence we see, the Smatty video we see, it’s all designed to delay, delay, delay, and don’t have a third term. They understand that.”
Hanson also criticized the opposition for not engaging in more constructive political efforts, such as addressing important national debt and immigration challenges.
“You know, what they haven’t done is work to get rid of what they haven’t told him, $3 billion in interest per day. Or see if we can find the 12 million people we’ve got over the last four years,” Hanson said. “It’s street theatre. It’s delay. It’s law. He’s also a counterpart of the administration that he saw for four years with Letitia James, Fani Willis, Alvin Bragg, Jack Smith and Eugene Carroll.”
Assuming his presidency on January 20th, Trump quickly enacted executive orders to restrict illegal immigration and designate Mexican drug cartels, TDA and MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations. In response, Democrats and unions filed numerous lawsuits, urging Republican lawmakers to propose new laws that would limit district judges from issuing national injunctions on these enforcement actions.
