Congratulations, America. We just capped off one of the wildest and most historic weeks in modern history with a major win: Bud Light has officially been dethroned as the number one beer.

After Bud Light executives decided to completely destroy the brand and careers by hiring Dylan Mulvaney, who is actually a man but dresses up as a terribly offensive parody of a woman, as their brand ambassador, America fought back by boycotting Bud's gimmick. Modelo Especial officially became America's top beer, bringing an end to Bud's decades-long dominance. according to To the Wall Street Journal.

It was the best of times and the worst of times as I desperately searched for a redneck beer replacement. Amid the joy of dethroning Bud Light, something rather tragic happened: Americans turned to Michelob Ultra, which reportedly took second place behind Modelo Especial. I'm thinking about doing some deep research into why so many of my fellow countrymen hate me and drink this beer. But I like White Claw, so maybe we're all trash. But at least we're not Bud Light trash anymore!
I wouldn't be surprised if Bud Light fades away within the next year or so, and while there have been some serious attempts to reinvent the brand, it seems the damage has already been done.
