Andrea Evans Dead At 66

‘One Life to Live’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ star Andrea Evans died Sunday at the age of 66 from cancer.

Her death was confirmed by her former manager Don Carroll and current manager Nick Reicht, according to the source. people.

“I’ve worked with Andrea for the past seven years. She’s such a great talent and a real pleasure to work with,” said Reicht.

Evans skyrocketed in popularity after being praised for her role as troubled teen Tina Lord in One Life to Live. In 1988, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Ingenuity for her role as Tina in the drama series, according to People magazine.

The star of this soap opera has a loyal fan following playing Patty Williams in ‘The Young and the Restless’. Evans also appeared as Rebecca Hotchkiss in Passions and Patti Walker in The Bay.

Her passion for acting inspired her to take on film roles as well, in addition to her time on the small screen.

According to People, she starred in movies like “A Low Down Dirty Shame,” “Ice Cream Man,” and “Hit List,” in addition to several made-for-TV movies.

Frank Valentini, former executive producer of “One Life to Live” and now executive producer of “General Hospital,” posted a touching tribute to Evans on Twitter on Monday.

“She was always sweet, polite, and a lot of fun to work with,” he said.

He went on to say that Evans was “a legend in the daytime and will be sorely missed.”

Evans is survived by husband Stephen Rodriguez and daughter Kylie.
