Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs criticized recent actions aimed at Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar and California’s Democratic Governor. Four Republicans sided with Democrats to defeat a resolution that condemned Omar for her remarks about Kirk during his September 11 appearance on Zeteo News. In an interview with former CNN host Don Lemon, a segment was shown by Martha MacCallum on “The Story,” highlighting the post made on X.
“It’s like rhetoric telling people who are feeling unstable or looking for an outlet, which might lead to violence. It’s disheartening to see so many who promote tolerance yet display such intolerance,” Biggs expressed. “Not just intolerance, but hatred and dehumanization. This could ignite radical behavior and push people toward violence, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid.”
Utah Republican Gov. Spencer Cox discussed findings from the manhunt for Tyler Robinson, who allegedly shot Kirk, bringing attention to a left-wing slogan found on the ammunition.
The Department of Homeland Security condemned Illinois’ governor and Chicago’s mayor for their comments regarding ICE, indicating that their “constant demonization” has fueled recent riots at an ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois. The DHS announced that authorities arrested 17 individuals involved in violent protests for various charges, including assaulting federal officials.
In a separate incident, two individuals were killed during a shooting at an ICE office in Dallas, where the gunman subsequently took his own life. In Texas, following the July 4th disturbances, ten people now face attempted murder charges linked to earlier events.
