On Thursday, April 27, 2023, our beloved son, brother, friend and United States Marine Corps veteran Anthony Lee Rose passed away at the age of 24.
Anthony was born on September 15, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona. Her parents are Melissa Stoner and Robert Stoner, and Brian Rose. Anthony served in the United States Marine Corps from January 2018 until he will be in October 2021. He was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan as an aircraft power line mechanic. During his time in the Marine Corps, he was a military aviation maintenance specialist, working in the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Powerline Division.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Anthony worked on a ranch in Patagonia, Arizona, where he was able to fulfill his cowboy dreams. He loved riding and training horses and spent countless hours hunting cattle. He had a passion for the outdoors, animals, and helping others.
Anthony is known for his kind and caring spirit, goofy smile, and hard-working ethic. There was no life that he did not touch in the brief period he spent on earth.
Anthony has a mother, Melissa. her father Robert and Brian; His siblings Devon, Dylan, Ashley, Hope, Jocelyn, Jadon, Mekaira, Christine, Stephen and Chasity. And many nieces and nephews.
Anthony’s funeral will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm at The Safford Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Dustin Curtis of Safford Fourth Ward. After completing her military service, she was awarded a military honor by the Gila Valley Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will welcome friends at the Vining Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and the Funeral Service on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. You will meet your friends on site. Relief Society room at Safford Stake Center.
Anthony’s closing service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at Pomeren Cemetery in Pomeren, Arizona.
