Not a good outlook for the Olympics…
Anthony Edwards, of The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar, who earned much respect after leading the team to the Western Conference Finals last season, was very forthright when asked about his role with the USA men's basketball team.
“I'm still the No. 1 pick,” Edwards told reporters Sunday in Las Vegas. “You guys might look at it differently, but I don't look at it differently. I'm just going to go out there and be myself. I'm just going to make my shots, play my defense and they're going to have to fit me and play around me. That's how I think about it.” (Related article: Bronny James signs with Lakers, a good sign for the LeBron empire, but a bad sign for the NBA: Report)
That confidence from Edwards isn't all that surprising — he had a great season in 2023-24, after all — but is he the No. 1 option on a team featuring LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry?
Huh!

There's nothing wrong with Anthony Edwards having this much confidence, but I just can't imagine him being Team USA's first choice, which is complete nonsense.
To be honest, it’s a terrible situation heading into the Olympics…are we competing with each other?
Yeah, I'm not a fan.
