Anti-Israel Protesters Hit Capitol On July 4, Allegedly Vandalize Dem Office

Illinois Democratic Rep. Brad Schneider claimed that anti-Israel protesters vandalized his office in Washington, DC, on the Fourth of July.

Schneider claimed that posters of Israeli hostages being held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip were “ripped off the walls, ripped to shreds and thrown in hallways,” and said eight of the 100 featured American citizens. The Illinois congressman posted photos of the vandalism, calling it a “vile act of hate.”

“This is shameful any time, but especially on our nation's Independence Day, the 4th of July. Sadly, this is just one of many hateful and un-American acts that have taken place across the country on a day we celebrate freedom and democracy,” the Illinois congressman tweeted. This would be a shameful act any time, but especially on our nation's Independence Day, the Fourth of July. Sadly, this was just one of many hateful and un-American acts that took place across the country on a day celebrating freedom and democracy.

Schneider argued that such acts of destruction do not serve the cause of peace, but enable Hamas to continue to terrorize the hostages and their fellow countrymen in the Gaza Strip.

Schneider has served uninterruptedly as a representative of the Illinois House of Representatives since 2013. according to To Ballotpedia.
