The truth is probably somewhere in between. They may still believe, but their political will is broken. They know #resistance is futile. They dedicated the last eight years of their lives to this political movement, and after all their self-inflicted suffering, they had nothing to show for it. This is enough to break a strong will, let alone a woman crying on TikTok because someone accidentally called her “she.” They simply accepted their fate.
Today, America wakes up to a new dawn. And the resistance, which once seemed invincible, was finally defeated.
