A recent study found that this Kentucky city is the most stressed out in the entire state. Think you know what it is?
stress. It’s everywhere now. No matter where you live, stress will always be there. I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more stressful things get. We all experience stress, whether it’s money, commuting, family, friends, or sports. When it comes to Kentucky, stress seems to be all over the place. Recently, Kentucky ranked eighth overall as the most stressful state in the nation, with money-related and health and safety-related stress being the factors behind that ranking. Extending it a bit more, Zippia It released a survey of the most stressful cities in each state. That being said, which city in Kentucky is the most stressed out?
Kentucky’s Most Stressful Cities
To determine which cities were most stressed, Zappia They said they did so as follows.
Using the latest data from the U.S. Census American Community Survey and the BLS from 2013 to 2017, we ranked cities in the United States according to the following criteria:
- unemployment
- working time
- Commuting time
- Income to house price ratio
- % of uninsured population
The higher a city ranks in any of these areas, the more stress that city has. We then took a closer look at each of the 50 states and ranked the cities in each state from most stressful to least stressful.
Now that that part is over, let me tell you what I actually came here for… the most stressful city in Kentucky. Richmond is Kentucky’s most stressed city, according to Zappier data. Zappia’s data shows that for Richmond:
working time: 42
go to work: 20
Income to house price ratio: 12.55%
Richmond may be Kentucky’s most stressful city according to this data, but that doesn’t mean it’s all bad. There are quite a few things for the whole family to enjoy.
It’s also the birthplace of Kentucky’s first Bassies.
Well, I’m not from Richmond so I can’t confirm how stressed this city is. I just wonder what the locals think.
