Appeals Court Denies Trump’s Request To Cancel Upcoming Sentencing

A New York Court of Appeals judge on Tuesday rejected President-elect Donald Trump’s bid to reverse the president’s ruling on the conviction of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Associate Judge Ellen Gesmer wrote on page 1: decision President Trump’s request to suspend the sentence was “denied,” he said.

“After considering the submitted documents and extensive oral argument, Movant’s application for interim stay is denied,” Gesmer wrote.
