Appointment Made to Bagdad Unified School District Governing Board

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Wallace to the Baghdad Unified School District Board of Governors. He will take office on February 9, 2023 and his term will expire on December 31, 2024. Mr. Wallace graduated from Rae High School in Kearny, Arizona with an associate’s degree in Applied Studies in Diesel and Electric Systems. He has lived in this district for four years and is married. The couple has two grown-up children and one of his students who attends a school in the district, as well as several grandchildren. Wallace said he has worked in the mining industry for 33 years. He is hired by Freeport as his supervisor in McMorran’s shop. His wife also works for his FMI.

Wallace has indicated his intention to run for the seat in the 2024 election cycle.
