Arizona Public Services (APS) is stepping up to aid communities in Gila County recovering from historic floods. They’re sending significant support, worth thousands of dollars, to help these areas rebuild.
According to a recent announcement, APS is contributing $250,000 to the Salvation Army to assist flood victims in Gila County. This donation reflects a strong commitment to the affected community.
Furthermore, APS plans to supply essential items such as personal protective equipment and tools to aid volunteers working in recovery efforts in the Grove Miami area.
APS President and CEO Ted Geisler expressed concern for the local community, stating, “Arizona isn’t just where we work; it’s home. It’s truly heartbreaking to see our neighbors in Grove Miami facing such a devastating flood. We want our customers to feel supported during this crisis. Please reach out to us if you need help with your account or service. Your safety and well-being matter most to us.”
Alongside the donation to the Salvation Army, APS is gathering hard hats, gloves, and eye protection to assist victims, as well as provide support for food and shelter and help distribute these resources to volunteers.
