‘Are You Making A Motion Or A Speech?’: Jim Jordan Cuts Off Dem Rep Who Starts Ranting During RFK Jr. Hearing

Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan interrupted Thursday’s hearing on federal weaponization after Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz began a lengthy speech.

RFK Jr. delivered the opening address to the Commission on Free Speech and Censorship, defending himself against recent accusations of being anti-Semitic.

But Wasserman Schultz, interjected by Jordan, argued that the committee should be allowed to fire RFK Jr. because of his recent inappropriate remarks. (Related: Censorship-promoting nonprofit urges Twitter to throttle RFJ Jr and other popular accounts)

“I would like to raise one issue. Pursuant to Rule 11, Section 2, which Mr. Kennedy has violated, Mr. Kennedy’s repeated vulgar anti-Semitic remarks just last week will lead us to a meeting of the Executive. or if a witness alleges that the testimony tends to be defamatory, degrading, or incriminating,” and continues. Among other things, Mr. Kennedy said, “I learned a lot about bioweapons.” We’ve poured hundreds of millions of dollars into ethnically targeted microbes. The Chinese did the same. In fact, there have been discussions targeting ethnic groups regarding the new coronavirus infection. COVID-19 disproportionately attacks certain races, but the races most immune to COVID-19 are—” she said before Jordan interrupted.

“Does the gentle lady act or speak?” Jordan asked.

Wasserman Schultz said, “Based on Mr. Kennedy’s testimony and what he has said so far, I have made a motion to enter an executive committee meeting.”

The committee then took a roll call vote on whether to introduce her motion.
