Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The states of Arizona and California, as well as Yuma and Imperial counties, have released weekly COVID number updates.

Both Arizona and Yuma County have seen significant increases since last week COVID casesNew cases in Arizona increased from 3,087 to 3,099, while Yuma County also increased from 70,610 to 70,709.

Meanwhile, both Arizona and Yuma County saw significant declines. COVID deathsnew deaths in Arizona decreased from 107 to 54; new deaths in Yuma County decreased from 2 to 1;

However, the number of deaths from COVID in both California and Imperial County has dropped significantly. California’s new COVID deaths fell from 330 to 271, while Imperial County’s new COVID deaths fell from 4 to 1.

new Dose Arizona decreased from 23,101 to 19,857, and new doses administered in Yuma County increased from 1,195 to 1,332.

But in California and Imperial County, total dosetotal dose in California remains at 72.6% and total dose in Imperial County remains at 94.3%.
