Arizona Hosting ‘I Heart Pluto’ Festival to Mark 94th Anniversary

This event will be out of this world! Sorry for the terrible grammar! Arizona will celebrate the discovery of Pluto with a big festival. Because for some of us, Pluto is still a planet.

You see, when I was young, Pluto was definitely a planet. Does anyone remember the planetary mnemonic: “My very talented mother just served us 9 pizzas”? What is mom serving now? Does “n” stand for “nothing”?

Pluto has come a long way, being discovered as the ninth planet, then declassified as a planet, and then classified as a dwarf planet. I think Pluto definitely deserves a big celebration because he's been through a roller coaster of emotions.

The festival commemorates the 94th anniversary of the discovery of Pluto at Lowell Observatory in Arizona. Named after its founder Percival Lowell.

The festival, now in its fourth year, will feature events such as pub hopping, and when maps are created, the route will be shaped like the symbol of Pluto.

There will also be live music, science presentations, telescope viewing, constellation tours, and Pluto-themed food and drinks.

All in all, it seems like a great festival. Especially for astronomical enthusiasts and those who support Pluto becoming a planet.you can Click here for more information about the festival.
