An Arizona man’s morning commute has recently become eye-straining. An unidentified man heard unusual noises under his hood when he arrived at work and parked his car in the parking lot. The noise was that of a bobcat and the driver didn’t know it had been hit en route.
“When he looked under the hood, he saw two eyeballs staring at him,” the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office posted.
The crash happened in May in Gilabend, Arizona. photograph Conditions at the scene did not surface until July. One of his images shows the trapped cat lying within the engine area, alert as he looks out through his frame through the hard plastic mesh of the car’s front grille.
cold The Arizona Game and Fish Service reports that wild animals were tranquilized before being pulled from the grill. It was then released back into the wild, and remarkably unharmed.

What’s even crazier is that this isn’t the first time a stray cat has been caught in a car this year. Another bobcat was found inside a front bumper in Wisconsin in April. It was released back into the wild unharmed.
