Arizona non-profit organization features five local Yumans in flagship program

The Arizona Rural Leadership Center helps develop and empower local leaders to meet the needs of rural Arizona communities

Yuma County, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Yuma County representatives participate in flagship program Project CENTRL, Class 32, travel to explore leadership lessons from all perspectives, and attend nine seminars To do.

Arizona Rural Leadership Center Project CENTRL has trained more than 700 Arizona leaders since 1983.

Approximately 16 participants were selected for Class 32 and will travel the state for the next 12 months and attend nine seminars.

Nine seminars include Effective Communication, Natural Resources, Rural Economics, State Budget Basics: Health Care, Education and Corrections, Agriculture in the Borderlands, and Arizona Public Policy.

The first seminar, “Leadership Fundamentals,” was held June 1-3 in Chandler, Arizona, and provided attendees with opportunities to learn about personal communication, learning styles, and networking.

Participants travel to Sonora, Mexico. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Washington DC

The Arizona Rural Leadership Center also announced that the program will also feature a team “Make A Difference” project where class graduates discuss how they can help address and solve some of the key problems and challenges in rural Arizona. said to have reached a climax.
