Arizona police use Dodge Challenger to educate children about the dangers of drugs.

Those who live in Arizona better do their best after the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office receives the keys to the new cruiser, which takes the form of the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Before you worry, though, it’s important to point out that challengers are actually assigned to local community outreach units, rather than being used by police to track down criminals. This was purchased through grants for drug education, outreach and various drug enforcement activities with a special focus on educating children about the dangers of drug use at community events, schools and career fairs. The Challenger SRT Hellcat RedEye paintwork sets it apart from any other car. The paint color is known as ‘F8’ green and is inspired by the colors of the sheriff’s office. The graphics contrast with the green paint in a tan finish to match the uniforms worn by local police officers. Graphics include large ‘Sheriff’ logos on the doors and rear bumper. Underneath the tailgate spoiler is a small graphic that reads, “Seek Opportunity, Not Drugs.”

“This is another step we’re taking as a starting point for positive communication between our community and law enforcement,” said Mark. J Dannels of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office. He said: “This project was an innovative effort to share what we do in law enforcement and to engage children and bring their attention to the ‘cool’ side of the sheriff’s office. ”

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye delivers outstanding performance powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 797 hp and 707 lb-ft (959 Nm) of torque. It can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds and run a mile in 10.8 seconds. With enough space, it won’t stop accelerating until it hits 203 mph (326 km/h).
