Flagstaff, Arizona – There were few places in the arid Southwest where people could enjoy a white Christmas. One of the lucky few was the Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff.
The ski and snowboard resort posted a photo of the new blanket with fresh powder from its X account on Wednesday morning.
A layer of snow fell on a narrow section of the mountain above Snowbowl, located on the western slope of Humphreys Peak.
Humphreys Peak is the highest point in Arizona.
At 12,633 feet above sea level, both the peak and the resort are part of the San Francisco Mountains. Coconino National Forest.
The National Weather Service flagstaffHowever, more snow was expected to fall in the city centre.
According to their post, X pagemost of the snow fell above the 6,500-foot mark, leaving the main downtown area with the green Christmas experienced in most other parts of the state.
