Witnesses in Scottsdale, Arizona, reported seeing and taking pictures of a quietly hovering cigar-shaped object at 1:32 p.m. on November 16, 2022.NUFORC).

Witnesses were driving along Via Linda’s Mountain View when they noticed something very reflective and glowing in the sky. The object was very strange and seemed out of place to see, given that it was during the day when the sun was out and it was at its hottest, brightest point.

“A bright silver object in the shape of a cigar appeared to hover in the sky and was completely motionless,” said the reporting eyewitness. “I didn’t hear any noise like when you see an airplane or a drone.”

The witness looked down at his phone for about two seconds to see the photo he had just taken.

“When I looked back, it was completely gone. Any kind of man-made aircraft would move slowly until it was out of sight, and it wouldn’t completely disappear in two seconds from that distance.”

According to National UFO Reporting Center testimony, an Arizona witness at Snowflake recalled an encounter with a large triangular object at some point in September 1968 (NUFORC).

Witness grew up on 40 acres of land with three small hills. Dates are approximate.

It was early autumn, and his mother was setting the table while dinner was cooking in the oven. As she was getting dark, she remembered that the laundry was in line.

The witness was a high school student at the time. The clothesline was on the west side of the hill where their house was built.

“I remember squinting and covering my eyes because the sun was setting so brightly,” said the reporting eyewitness. “As the sun set, the sky turned orange and yellow. I put the basket on the ground and started shaking and folding the clothes one by one off the line.”

Suddenly the intensity of the rays from the sun diminished and he was glad to get rid of most of the blinding light as the sun went down.

“When I glanced up, I was surprised to see a small triangular UFO rising from the hill between my house and the junior high school.”

Witnesses could not tell if it was coming from the west side of the hill or from the middle of the hill.

“It looked like a mirror, but I couldn’t see a reflection. There were no lights or other items on it. It kept rising, blocking more and more of the setting sun as it rose.”

Witnesses glanced to the right of the hill and saw cars still going up and down Main Street, wondering why people didn’t stop.

“Eventually I could see the bottom of the triangle, and the object appeared to be about two-thirds the size of the entire hill. It completely blocks the sun’s rays from your eyes.”

Eyewitnesses could still see rays shooting out from each side of the now greatly enlarged triangle.

“Then, in an instant, the sun hit my face and the triangle disappeared completely. I ran to the house where the family was sitting around the table and asked if they had seen it.”

The blinds had been pulled down to block out the blinding light of the setting sun. Witnesses were the only family to see it. Witnesses searched for media reports, but found none.

No images were included in the report submitted on December 8, 2022. Snowflake is a town of 5,590 in Navajo County, Arizona. Witness citations have been redacted for clarity.
