A man and woman were seriously injured after being stabbed by their daughter on Saturday morning, and their son jumped in to save them both.
OAK CREEK, Ariz. — A man and woman from the Village of Oak Creek are thanking their son for saving their lives after he was allegedly stabbed by their daughter Saturday morning. Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
YCSO said deputies were called to the area of Coffee Pot Rock Drive in the Village of Oak Creek around 5:30 a.m. Saturday on a report of a stabbing.
A YCSO patrol sergeant first responded to the home where the stabbing occurred and found the suspect, 33-year-old Lauren Levinson, in the street. She was subsequently taken into custody.
Officers then rushed to the home where the stabbing occurred and found Levinson's mother and father seriously injured.
Levinson's mother had been stabbed multiple times in the back and her father had been stabbed multiple times in the arm.
The sergeant then began efforts to save the couple's lives and was assisted by their son who had been called to the home to help.
The son assisted the sergeant and Sedona firefighters in stopping his mother's bleeding and keeping her breathing until she was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center's trauma center. The son also helped put a tourniquet on his father's arm.
Levinson's father was taken by ambulance to Verde Valley Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
YCSO has no updates on the mother and father's current health conditions.
Detectives and evidence technicians from the YCSO Criminal Investigations Bureau are still investigating the stabbing at the home.
