Army Secretary Touring Redstone Arsenal with Senator Katie Britt
U.S. Army Secretary Dandris Cole recently toured Redstone Arsenal alongside U.S. Senator Katie Britt, highlighting the base’s significant Army-related facilities and capabilities.
During their visit, Driscoll and Britt checked out the Army Materials Command (AMC), the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), as well as the Program Executive Offices for Missiles & Space and Airlines.
Britt expressed her appreciation, stating, “It’s always a privilege to showcase Alabama’s advanced capabilities at Redstone Arsenal. We are thankful to Secretary Driscoll for making this visit a priority early on in his role.”
She added, “Redstone is vital to American national security, supporting various branches of the military. Maintaining our fighter jets’ status as the best trained and equipped is essential for achieving peace through strength.”
“The work at Redstone is crucial for ensuring the military’s readiness and unmatched effectiveness. We’re committed to advocating for its important efforts and for the service members in the Senate,” she mentioned.
Britt also expressed enthusiasm about Driscoll’s verification process and acknowledged the importance of Army bases across Alabama. “Secretary Driscoll truly understands the pivotal role our Army facilities play in bolstering U.S. defense preparation,” she noted. “We’re eager to collaborate with him to enhance Fort Novosel, Redstone Arsenal, and the Aniston Army Depot.”
In late April, the senators made a separate visit to Arsenal with Senator Tommy Tuberville and FBI Director Kash Patel, focusing on the base’s intelligence reporting capabilities.
“The FBI’s initiatives at Redstone are at the cutting edge of 21st-century training and innovation necessary for addressing future threats,” Britt remarked after the tour. “Our commitments, well, we are just getting started, and we’re optimistic about fulfilling them.”
