Tusayan Tutoring and Story Time June 30

Tutoring and story/activity time will resume on June 30 at Tusayan City Hall. Library services include free notary services, free library cards, research studies, GED assistance, and computer access.

Grand Canyon Pride Prom June 30

The Grand Canyon Pride Club will host the Pride Prom on June 30th at 6:30pm at the Rec Center. This event is free and open to the community.

Tusayan Summer Youth Program

The Town is pleased to announce its second Free Summer Youth Program. This year’s attendees will have an additional field trip, with presenters from NAU and the Forest Service. Go to Tusayan City Hall to register.

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center will be closed Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice. Restrooms will remain available adjacent to the visitor center, and the Grand Canyon Conservancy bookstore and gift shop will be open 24/7.

Recruiting 2024 Resident Astronomers and Artists: Apply by 31 July

The Grand Canyon Conservation Society’s Astronomer-in-Residence Program is a multidisciplinary astronomy program for those who want to work on the Grand Canyon’s night sky and build community ties by sharing their expertise, equipment, and passion with the park public. Supports Dark Sky Defenders.

We encourage submissions from professional and amateur astronomers, scientists ranging from ecologists to geologists, dark sky advocates, educators, writers, and other professionals with expertise in the night sky.
