The Grand Canyon School PTA will hold a virtual meeting on May 3 at 6:00 PM on Zoom and in the GCUSD Teachers’ Lounge.

Grand Canyon School Middle and High School Orientation May 4

Grand Canyon School will hold an orientation meeting for 6th and 9th graders and their parents on May 4 in the school’s multipurpose room. Grade 6 starts at 5:30 pm and Grade 9 starts at 6:30 pm.

Tusayan Library Service and Fairy Tale Time May 5

The town of Tusayan will host a community library service with story time for children at City Hall from 10am to 4pm.

Tusayan celebrates Cinco de Mayo on May 5th

The Town of Tusayan is sponsoring its first annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 5th from 3-7pm at the Squire Resort in Tusayan.

The event includes Mexican food, mariachi bands, lawn games, indoor and outdoor pools, bowling discounts, and the featured movie, Coco, starting at 5:30 PM.

Fishing Trip to Dogtown Lake May 6

The Rec Center will be offering an excursion to Williams’ Dogtown Lake on May 6th. The cost is $16.50 per person.

Tusayan Town Council May 9

The Tusayan City Council will meet at City Hall on May 9 at 5:00 pm.

If you can’t attend in person, you can join us via Zoom. Instructions are available on the town’s website, along with the meeting agenda.

Tusayan Regional Gardening Class May 10

Tusayan will host its third community gardening class on May 10th at 5:30pm at City Hall.

This event is free and open to the community.

Mother’s Day Brunch and Craft May 14

The Rec Center will host a Mother’s Day brunch at 11am. Then comes crafting time.

This event is free and open to the community.

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center will be closed Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice. Restrooms adjacent to the visitor center will remain open. The Grand Canyon Conservancy bookstore and gift shop are also open seven days a week.

Grand Canyon and Tusayan Community Wellness Meetings

Bi-monthly Community Wellness Meetings are held in the Grand Canyon Community on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 2:30-3:30 PM. Conference dial-in: 866-564-9784. Participant Passcode: 2065751
