Eight Tajiks with ISIS ties arrested In the wake of the terrorist attacks carried out by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, Senator Katie is again calling on Senate leadership to hold a thorough briefing for members of Congress on the threat of ISIS terrorism entering the US through the vulnerable southern border.
Britt's fears were fully realized when ICE recently reported arresting eight suspected ISIS terrorists who had illegally crossed the border into the US. The arrests were made in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

Britt reiterated his call for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic leadership to take this threat seriously and schedule a briefing to immediately analyze the true scope of the problem.

“Seventy days ago, Senator Graham and I requested a classified briefing for all Members on the growing threat posed by ISIS-K and other terrorist organizations to our nation. Yesterday's reports confirmed our warning: our porous southern border puts all Americans at risk,” Britt said of the news. “Thankfully, our incredible law enforcement officers, including ICE officers, apprehended these individuals before they could harm innocent Americans. This should be an urgent wake-up call for people of both parties in Congress.”
“I continue to urge Senator Schumer to schedule a classified briefing for the entire Senate on the growing threat posed by radical Islamic terrorist groups exploiting the ongoing border crisis.”

The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI Joint statement He spoke to the New York Post about his arrest.
“Over the past few days, ICE agents have arrested several aliens at the direction of immigration authorities,” the agency said. “This action was conducted in close coordination with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. The arrested individuals are being held in ICE custody facilities while they await deportation proceedings… The FBI and Department of Homeland Security continue to work around the clock with our partners to identify, investigate and deter potential threats to national security.”
Britt and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) first began requesting classified briefings in April. So far, no briefings have been scheduled.
