The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said Nicholas Barrone may have held the two victims against their will at his Kaibab Estate West home north of Ash Fork. .
The CCSO began investigating Barone’s activities on June 5, when someone called 911 and the call was disconnected at approximately 8:04 p.m.

According to a CCSO statement, Barone was “pending several felony charges” in the weeks leading up to June 5.
On the morning of June 6, CCSO detectives returned to Barone’s home on Quarry Road with a search warrant. According to the CCSO, they brought not only negotiators, but also the Northern Arizona Regional Tactical Team.
Officers found the suspect inside Ash Faulk’s home and attempted to call him. Officials said they relied on non-lethal means such as OC gas, K9 deployments and tasers to finally get the suspects outside.
Four and a half hours later, Barone was taken into custody. No officers were injured at the time of the arrest, but the suspect suffered minor injuries and was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center, agents said.
