You can read it here every Tuesday The Auburn CornerNow, we're going to cover another topic about the Auburn Tigers, analyzing the previous game, previewing the next game, and everything in between. In this week's edition, with Robbie Ashford committing to South Carolina today, let's figure out who will be throwing ball for Auburn in 2024:
To say Peyton Thorne was disappointed in his first season as an Auburn Tiger would be an understatement. He threw for just over 1,700 yards with 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also added over 500 rushing yards. But for most of the season, Tiger's passing game was almost non-existent.
Thorne capped off his season misfire with perhaps his worst performance in an Auburn uniform in the Music City Bowl against Maryland, which the Tigers lost 31-13.
That being said, with Ashford leaving and no transfer quarterback coming in, it looks like Thorne will once again enter the spring as a leader in the clubhouse.

The Tigers are acquiring four-star freshman Walker White from Little Rock, Arkansas. But barring unforeseen circumstances, he is unlikely to take office before 2025.
Holden Geliner was a third-string player this season who didn't make much of a splash in limited action, but didn't enter the transfer portal despite expectations that he would.
Hank Brown, a true freshman last season, was brought in by Hugh Freeze from Liberty and showed some promise in the bowl game and could be in the mix as well.
Freese said after the bowl game that it will be open again in the spring, giving everyone a chance to compete.
Thorne has an early advantage with experience in the system, so he will enter the spring as the starter, but nothing is guaranteed. After Thorne, there will be competition for a backup spot between Hank Brown, Holden Geliner, and Walker White.
Auburn fans should expect White to grab the spot if he becomes the Tigers' quarterback of the future.
