AZ Health Zone Becomes Virtual in Free Seed to Supper Gardening Program | The Buzz -The buzz in Bullhead City – Lake Havasu City – Kingman – Arizona – California

Mojave County, Arizona (March 21, 2023) – As part of an ongoing effort to make seed-to-tablet gardening programs more accessible, the Mojave County Department of Public Health’s AZ Health Zone has released this series. I will introduce it in a virtual way. “Our goal is to make participation in Seed to Supper as practical as possible,” said Zen Mocarski, Health Education Specialist at AZ Health Zone.

Presentations will take place on April 5th, 12th and 19th from 6-8pm. There will be two one-hour presentations each week. Interested parties should email mocarz@mohave.gov. A link will be sent approximately one week before the first presentation. All relevant materials will be emailed to you as Word or PDF files.

Individuals wishing to participate will need the Teams app. Desktop or mobile versions are available on the App Store for Apple devices and the Play Store for Android. For PC, go to microsoft.com and search for Teams downloads.

The classes are progressions, one designed to build on top of the other.

A free 3-week series takes participants from vegetable/orchard development to harvest. This program is useful for first-time gardeners and those with more experience. Here is the Mojave County gardening challenge,” Mochalski said. “Our hope is to break down the barriers people face when growing their own delicious, healthy foods.”

AZ Health Zone will run in-person programs in the cities of Bullhead and Lake Havasu in June and July respectively.
