A pregnant woman was killed Thursday morning in a mass shooting in southeastern Washington, D.C., and her baby is in critical condition fighting for her life.

Despite being injured, the man managed to drive to the nearest location. McDonald’s, where they were found by authorities and rushed to a nearby hospital, NBC reported.
