Thatcher — Parents and students have a chance this weekend to get all the school supplies they need and information about available services for free.
The 14th Annual Graham County Back-to-School Resource Fair will be held Saturday, July 15 at 8:00 am in the Academic Programs Building on the Middle Campus of Eastern Arizona College.
Backpacks filled with school supplies will be provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. School-aged children will be issued a voucher for a full set of clothing by the GCRC or St. Vincent de Paul.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
In addition, new parents and expectant mothers will be able to use child seats free of charge. However, parents must attend a training session to receive the seat. Pre-registration required (928-428-8590).
Back-to-School Resource Fairs include the Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition, the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, First Things First, Safford City Graham County Library, Canyonlands Healthcare, Tooth Buds and GFWC in Safford. Sponsored by the women’s club, Safford Lions. Clubs, Great Community Resource Center, St. Vincent de Paul Association, 19 Double X Studios, Graham County, Eastern Arizona College, Small Business Development Center, Multi-Vendor Events, Tucson Medical Center, Tucson Police Department.
