Moore Announces Upcoming Event
U.S. Representative Barry Moore from Enterprise has hinted at a significant announcement set for next month. On Friday, he shared that attendees can look forward to enjoying food, live music, and special updates at the event.
This gathering will take place in Sylvania, near Scottsboro, which is quite a distance from his South Alabama Legislative Council district.

Moore has recently expressed a desire to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Tommy Tuberville in 2026. His plans seem to be in motion, with indications that he intends to kick off his campaign immediately after the Independence Day holidays.
If this upcoming announcement indeed pertains to his Senate aspirations, it would mark the first time Moore seeks a statewide office. He has a history in politics, having served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 until 2018, followed by two unsuccessful attempts to secure a Congressional seat in 2018 and 2020.
In 2024, Moore found himself in a competitive race after the U.S. Supreme Court mandated a redrawing of the Alabama Congressional map, forcing him to move from his former district. He went head-to-head with Congressman Jerry Carl, a remarkable contest within the GOP, ultimately emerging victorious in a newly-defined area.
Now, as he prepares for a potential Senate run, he faces competition from Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who already launched his campaign in May. The political landscape is clearly gearing up for an engaging contest.
