Barry Moore speaks out against 2026 opponents: I’m the ‘only candidate’ who isn’t a Democrat

US Senator Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) has entered the race among GOP candidates to succeed US Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn).

Moore, who has been serving in Congress since 2020, announced his campaign on Tuesday, promising to maintain his support for President Donald Trump and the “America First” agenda. He has plans for an official campaign kickoff event in North Alabama tomorrow night.

As reported by the Daily Caller, Moore is already distinguishing himself from his competitors, which include Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and former US Navy Seal Jared Hudson.

“I believe I might be the only candidate in this race who hasn’t recently supported Democrats or switched to their side. That’s part of my record as a member of the House Freedom Caucus,” Moore stated. He added, “I’m not just a Republican. I don’t flip-flop in politics. I’m authentic.”

While President Trump has yet to endorse any candidate, Moore expressed that he would be “honored” to receive his backing.

“I’ve spoken to him about it, and I’ve had his support in previous races,” Moore noted. “For me, it’s essential to support him and what he stands for, which I’ve consistently done.”

Recent polls indicate that Marshall is currently leading the race at 24%, with Moore following at 8.8%.

All three candidates publicly align themselves with Trump’s “America First” agenda. Marshall boasts a history of conservative jurisprudence and has supported Trump amid legal challenges in New York City last year, an emphasis in his statewide campaign.

Moore also shared additional campaign goals with the Daily Caller, particularly his aim to reduce government spending.

“Absolutely, I want to see zero debt—like, yesterday,” he remarked.
