The Kingman-Flagstaff High School Eagles Mercy beat Lee Williams 11-0 in five innings Wednesday in the 4A Grand Canyon Conference baseball game.
Volunteers lost six straight (2-7, 1-7). The Eagles improved to (13-5, 5-0), ranking him fourth in the state. 8 consecutive wins,
The Eagles scored often early and took a 3–0 lead in the first inning.
They cleaned things up with 7 runs in the 4th frame.
Flagstaff hit the ball much more consistently than the Volunteers, with 13 hits.
Lee Williams only had one hit, a triple by senior Brayden Petersen.
“We haven’t been able to establish a lot of consistency on offense,” Lee Williams head coach Zack Smith said. It’s really impossible.”
Lee Williams had two defensive errors and Flagstaff was charged with one.
