Baskin-Robbins to make Maricopa comeback

[Viaone Commercial Real Estate]

For over a decade, Maricopa Ice Cream Afficionados had to trek towards the valley in search of a scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge or Mom’s Makin’ Cookies. But it’s not that long.

Phoenix-based commercial property developer Viaone announced last week that Baskin Robbins will return to Maricopa next year.

Conrad Wilkerson, Retail Advisory Director for ViaOne; I said in a LinkedIn post The Canton, Massachusetts-based ice cream shop is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025, next to the Sprout Farmers Market.

This is the second ice cream storefront to tap Maricopa in the past year. Cold Stone Creamery arrived in November and last month confirmed that the creamy formula would be brought into town by the end of summer.

Baskin-Robbins first came to Maricopa in August 2005 to 20924 N. John Wayne Pkwy. In 2008, local resident Tammy Adams took over as the owner of the store’s franchise until it closed forever five years later.

The next closest store is in West Chandler on Chandler Boulevard near 40th Avenue
