Bath & Body Works has sparked a flurry of customer complaints after launching Christmas candles with scents deemed to be racist.
The candle, dubbed “Crandle” on social media, featured a snowflake design that some customers said clearly resembled the white hoods worn by members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). According to reports, the KKK is a white supremacist hate group that emerged in the United States after the Civil War. NBC News.

Bath & Body Works removed its “Snowed In” scented candles from its website and apologized in a statement. TMZ.
“We listen to our teams and customers and are committed to correcting any mistakes we make, even unintentional mistakes like this one. We apologize to those who were offended. We are working quickly to remove this item. [are] Evaluate our process [going] “We are moving forward,” a Bath & Body Works spokesperson said, the newspaper reported.

Other X users criticized the company for removing the candles, with one user calling the outraged users “fucking naive.”
