Battleground State Voter Predicts Which Majority Won’t Turnout For Harris This November

In an interview with CNN on Thursday, a Pennsylvania voter predicted that male voters would not head to the polls in November because of presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Four older women voters in Pennsylvania appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 for a roundtable discussion to discuss their reactions to Harris securing the number of delegates needed to become the party's nominee. During the discussion, CNN's John King asked whether voters were optimistic that Harris could win in the battleground state.

Three of the four women said they believe Harris will do a good job, but one voter disagreed. (Related article: Polls show Trump dominating Kamala Harris in head-to-head matchup with independent candidate)

“Some of you are shaking your head, tell me why,” King said.

“No. I don't think there are many men who will vote for Harris. I don't think so. Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, whatever. I don't think the majority of men are ready for a woman president,” the voter responded.

Previous polling between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump has shown a close race in several battleground states. A Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released in May showed Trump with a slight lead of 1 to 2 points in Pennsylvania, a key state in the 2024 presidential election.

When Biden gave up his reelection bid and endorsed Harris through a letter posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, a wave of support from Democrats flooded the vice president. With support from Democratic lawmakers, politicians and donors, Harris had secured the backing of more than 3,000 delegates by Tuesday, solidifying her status as the provisional candidate ahead of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in August.

But as support grew, former President Barack Obama notably refrained from endorsing the vice president outright, saying in a lengthy statement that he was confident Democratic leaders would “create a process that will produce a high-quality nominee” at the convention.
