News Nation reports that the party island in Tampa Bay, Florida, affectionately known as “Beer Can Island,” is up for sale for $14 million, so I'd like a piece.
The 9-acre island in Florida's Hillsboro Bay was a popular anchorage for local boaters until a group of friends banded together to purchase it in 2018. according to Go to News Nation.
The friends naturally installed a number of party-themed amenities, including an inflatable slide and a bar. It wouldn't be Beer Can Island without a bar.
Tampa Bay's Beer Can Island is currently on the market for $14 million and is officially closed to members and the public. https://t.co/FdD0BPi3DC

Of course, seeing the common people having a little fun, the fun police (i.e. the government) decide to intervene. Local authorities appear to have ordered the owner to close the bar, News Nation reported.
This red tape may have been part of the reason the owner decided to sell.
“As a Pine Key, this opportunity is very rare.” [the island’s official name] “It's one of the few privately owned islands in Tampa Bay,” said Cole Weaver, majority owner of Pine Key, according to News Nation. “While we appreciate the outpouring of support we have received from our community and members over the years, all good things must come to an end, and for us, that time is now.”
Okay, who's with you? Local regulations are ridiculous, this seems like the perfect place to throw a party. There are no drunk drivers (just passing out on the beach) and it's far enough away that we don't get any noise complaints. If I get this place, I'll never sell it. The owners seem to be marketing this place as a potential hideout for big companies, but that's a big mistake. This place should be reserved exclusively for the boys and Coors Lights playing Jimmy Buffet music. Companies can take Bud Light bashes elsewhere.
