Beloved Fantasy Series Offers Perfect Metaphor For Trump-Biden Rematch

JRR Tolkien wrote the beloved Lord of the Rings series, now well known as one of the most successful film series of all time. This story is a Homeric epic and tackles some of the most powerful themes in the Western canon. Above all, it is a warning that absolute power corrupts absolutely, a lesson that today's liberals seem to have forgotten. With this in mind, modern conservatives often claim that Tolkien was an avowed traditionalist and devout Catholic. Although pinning him to a partisan framework is an oversimplification of his work, his timeless allegories still hold lessons today.

There's nothing leftists love more than distorting tradition to fit their worldview. Their ideology is a parasitic ideology that clings to the existing foundations, whatever they are, and turns them inside out. As we saw most recently in the Super Bowl “He Gets Us” ad, in a cultural moment under left-wing hegemony, good is bad, right is wrong, and sin is virtue. Progressives took the Christian principle of loving your neighbor and weaponized it to enforce their ideological narrative. There's a reason we saw a priest wash the feet of a gay man, but not an FBI agent wash the feet of a man wearing a MAGA hat.

So it may have been only a matter of time before they went after The Lord of the Rings, the most influential conservative cultural work of the 20th century. On Thursday, an admittedly hilarious post comparing Donald Trump to Saruman and President Joe Biden to Gandalf went viral on Twitter.

For those of you who somehow haven't seen this movie, Gandalf uses the Ring as a weapon against Frodo and his companions with the ultimate power of evil and the power that the Dark Lord Sauron would use to conquer him. A wise wizard who leads you on a journey to destroy the One Ring. All about Middle-earth. Various interpretations have him pegged as an angel of God, or a Christ-like resurrection metaphor, as he dies as Gandalf the Gray and returns as the far more powerful Gandalf the White. Alternatively, Saruman was once Gandalf's mentor, but he abandoned everything good and allied himself with Sauron.

The Twitter post cited a common argument on the left that Biden's age doesn't matter because President Trump is a grave threat to democracy. Recall that after Gandalf returned as the White Wizard, Gandalf temporarily “forgot that people called him Gandalf” while Saruman “led the rebellion.” Both are “equally bad choices,” the post quipped.

But as any true Lord of the Rings fan will tell you, this is bullshit. Clearly, Trump is Gandalf and Biden is Saruman.

If you've seen Biden talk eerily about his political opponents lately, it's clear that he looks more like the dark sorcerer Saruman. Saruman will fight the Uruk-Hai and enter millions of military-age people into their land to carry out his orders, just as Biden is now brazenly importing millions of illegal immigrants. Ta. Saruman is at war with nature and destroying the Ents of Fangorn Forest to aid his evil plans, just as Biden is at war with nature in his doomed quest to fight climate change. It's like asking for a pagan battle. (Related: Biden thinks 'no one made a mistake' in withdrawing from Afghanistan, new book claims)

Most importantly, they both betrayed everything he was sworn to protect. Saruman was supposed to be the wise protector of all of Middle-earth, just as the president is to the American people. After years of faithful service (or partisan hacking), they both lost their way. Saruman allied with Sauron, destroying Middle-earth and rebuilding it in Sauron's image. Just as Biden did with his far-left wing, they want more than anything to do the same to America.

on the other hand…

Like Gandalf the Gray, Trump started out as a less powerful figure compared to those who would destroy him. Gandalf begins his journey by mingling with the common people of the Shire, the Hobbits, although he doesn't quite fit in. Trump, on the other hand, is a billionaire from New York who doesn't resonate with the average American in a small town. is. All the while, the dark and deep state forces of Mordor were quietly plotting to take over. Both sought complete control of the realm. As the true nature of evil is revealed, Trump, like Gandalf, embarks on a journey to save the common people. They led a movement against the darkness and began warning people about the emerging threat.

Despite the success of the first leg of his journey, Gandalf falls to the demon Balrog in the mines of Moria in order to protect his companions. He underestimated his opponent. Believing that he was defeated, he turned his back so quickly that the devil reached out, trying to drag him into the depths of the mine. He died, but returned more powerful as Gandalf the White, uniting the races of Middle-earth to a final victory in which the good and true traditional way of life prevailed.

Donald Trump also underestimated his opponents at the beginning of his journey. Like Gandalf, he stood on that breakthrough and drew all the fire from the deep state, the Democratic Party, the media, the oligarchy, the satanic forces. They have spent the past three years ousting him and dragging him into the depths of hell with armed prosecutions and political warfare. He hasn't returned as the White Wizard yet, but like any epic story, the foreshadowing is there for everyone to see. Despite the full power of dark forces against him, the Trump movement remains strong, and next year it appears he intends to lead a multiracial return to America First traditions.
