Ben Stiller Offers Insanely Cringe Reason For Donating $150,000 To Kamala

Ben Stiller is known for playing awkward, funny guys in movies, but he also cringes us in real life. Sorry, we're laughing this time. in you.

Hollywood did it the old-fashioned way, launching a “Comics for Kamala” YouTube series, as if anyone still cared what famous people thought, featuring the now-far-from-A-list Stiller.

He reels off a list of movies he's been in, then launches into a bizarre explanation for why Kamala Harris is so great. It really all comes down to race and gender. “I wish I was black,” he explains to emphasize the point. “All the white Jewish guys wish they were black.”

But he put his money where his mouth is, pledging $150,000 to Harris' campaign.

Hey, seriously? Who does this appeal to?

He's certainly not black, and this is, dare I say, bordering on racism, grossly patronizing pandering: he talks about being black like a five-year-old boy talks about cowboys and astronauts.

It's also clearly unappealing to white people. White liberals look at this and feel uncomfortable, not knowing whether to be offended or not. Even Stiller pauses for a moment, seemingly realizing he may have stumbled into it mid-way through a bizarre comment. And as a fellow white Jew, I can safely say I was just disgusted.

The real question is how Stiller could afford that kind of money: $150 isn't cheap, and Stiller has never had a hit record. for a long timeSure, “Dodgeball” airs on cable TV from time to time, but are the residual income really that lucrative? Maybe he's mortgaging his house to show virtue to black people. that That'll be interesting.
