Beverly Hills hairdresser from Yuma dies of pancreatic cancer

YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – A hairdresser from Yuma and Beverly Hills has died, according to family. statement.

Nick Chavez has been battling stage 2 pancreatic cancer since March 2020.

Before being diagnosed with cancer, Chavez ran the Nick Chavez Salon in Beverly Hills and had a strong clientele including Maria Shriver and George Lopez.

Additionally, Chavez was also an actor, appearing in shows like The Young and the Restless and Hollywood Detectives.

He was also a model and worked with Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino.

Chavez has also been a cover model for Vogue, GQ, Elle and Esquire. Additionally, he was appearing on his 100-foot billboard in The Times His Square.

However, his main passion was hairdressing. After starting his business, Chavez was striving to achieve a “gorgeous every day” look for his clients’ hair.
