Former Democratic supporter Madeline Brame on Tuesday accused Democrats of racially stoking the race by selecting Vice President Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate, saying “black Americans” will not support Harris.
Brame appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” to discuss the shift in the Democratic presidential nominee following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race on Sunday. Brame, who is now an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, called the Democrats' move to play the race card “the stupidest thing” and highlighted the current situation in which Americans “can't make ends meet.” (Related article: Despite never winning any delegates, Kamala Harris secures enough support for the Democratic nomination)
“This is the stupidest thing they could do. Most African Americans know that an illegal immigrant welfare card is worth more than our worthless black card, so why do we care who Kamala Harris is, what race she is, what gender she is,” Brame said. “We care about the policies she has been pushing with Joe Biden for the last three and a half years. We are struggling. We can't even make ends meet.”

Brehm continued to explain how his own retirement age was postponed, adding that Harris' race “has nothing to do with the failed policies she has promoted during the Biden Administration.”
“You mentioned retirement earlier. I have to work until I'm 70 to get my full retirement benefits. So it's not that black Americans don't support Kamala Harris. The color of her skin has nothing to do with the failed policies she's advocated and pushed through for three and a half years,” Brame said.
In a post on Twitter, Biden announced that he was withdrawing his intention to seek reelection, saying that while he intends to seek reelection, he believes it is best for his party and the country to focus all his attention on the remainder of his term. Following this statement, the president endorsed Harris in another post, calling on Democrats to support the vice president and “defeat Trump.”
While prominent figures such as former President Barack Obama declined to immediately endorse Harris, other Democratic lawmakers and leaders announced on Sunday that they would support her as the next candidate.
Harris announced on Tuesday that she has secured enough support to become the party's presumptive nominee at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), surpassing the 1,976 delegates needed and garnering more than 3,000 pledges of support. according to To the Associated Press.
