Black Canyon City Community Cleanup

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works, is pleased to announce a community cleanup effort for the City of Black Canyon.

Cleaning will take place at the Black Canyon City Transfer Station located at 21000 E. Landfill Rd. The cleanup is free for Yavapai County residents to participate in. From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on February 28, March 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9, 2024.

  • Acceptable items: Household appliances, bagged household waste, car batteries, uninstalled tires, furniture, and garden decorations.
  • What is not accepted: Bulk trash such as barrels, liquids, hazardous materials, motor vehicles, NiCd batteries, and dead animals will be rejected.

Wildfires are never out of season. Now is the time to create defensible space around your home.

Cutaways of plants 5 to 30 feet from all structures. Remove all debris and dead plants from the roof, deck, and ground around your home. Please be careful of sparks when cutting or trimming. All yard trimmings will be accepted at the time of cleaning.

This program is intended for residential use only. Commercial packages are not accepted.
