The Vitalant Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, August 8, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the South Gymnasium of Apache Junction High School, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive.

“Since May, summer blood donations have continued to decline, plunging the available blood supply to patients by more than 25%, resulting in less than three days’ supply for most blood types. “Maintaining an adequate blood supply is critical to helping patients after accidents and other emergencies and treating cancer and other chronic diseases,” the release said. .
All blood types are required, but especially O, which is the most commonly transfused blood type. O Negative can be used to help any patient in an emergency and O Positive can support anyone with a positive blood type.
