Blue State College Allegedly Using Explicit Racial Quotas In Admissions

The Young Americas Foundation (YAF) filed a civil rights complaint against Gettysburg University on Thursday over illegal admission policies.

The Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Gettysburg submitted a plan detailing the school’s policy to allow “20% of domestic students” at the Student Senate meeting on March 31, according to a presentation obtained by YAF and initially shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. The university also aimed to recognize 15% of international students in the coming classes in the fall of 2025.

“The YAF respectfully requires that the “doctrine of equality” is implemented rather than “racial awareness” and that it is properly enforced and consistent with general law, and that it investigates Gettysburg College admissions policies and practices.”

After the Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that it could not be used as a factor in enrollment, Gettysburg President Bob Iuliano apparently explained the decision in a campus-wide email, saying that “the Supreme Court is deeply undermining its ability to educate students today the most effectively,” according to the YAF complaint.

In accordance with the court’s ruling, the ED issued an order in February to schools bound by schools bound by civil rights laws, and violations of the court’s ruling were a violation of such law. Several educational institutions, including the American Association of University Professors, encouraged schools not to follow the order “hardly” and said the process of revoking federal funds from schools over civil rights violations is long and difficult. The Department of Justice recently launched investigations of several elite University of California due to concerns that admissions policies violate federal civil rights laws. For example, UCLA has published plans to racially gerrymandate student organizations to help increase “diversity” on campus, use students, staff and alumni to reach out to minority students, host “underrepresented groups” events, and “holistic” instead display applications. Other universities reflect this plan and face concerns that they are illegally discriminating on the basis of race.

Ed and Gettysburg University did not immediately respond to DCNF’s request for comment.
