‘Bodyguard’ Actor Dead At 90

Popular actor Bill Cobbs, known for his roles in “Air Buddy” and “The Bodyguard,” has died at age 90 at his home in Inland Empire, California.

The famous actor's death was confirmed by his publicist, Chuck I. Jones. Cobbs' career spanned more than 50 years, beginning in the 1970s. His incredible contributions to entertainment included nearly 200 film and television credits as part of his impressive catalog, the spokesman said. TMZSome of his best work includes playing Devaney, one of Whitney Houston's employees in 'The Bodyguard,' Reginald in 'Night at the Museum,' and Arthur Chaney in 'Air Buddy.' According to TMZ, Cobb's brother Thomas said the actor had recently been battling pneumonia, which is suspected to be the cause of his death.

Cobb's feature film debut was in 1974's “The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3,” and his career skyrocketed from there. He appeared in numerous film and television productions, including “The Hitter,” “The Brother from Another Planet,” “Oz the Great and Powerful,” and “I'll Fly Away.” He also had guest appearances on “Walker, Texas Ranger” and “The Sopranos.”

Cobbs won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performance by a Character in a Daytime Series for his role in the children's show Dino Dana. His many roles have earned him too many awards to mention.

The talented star marked a milestone birthday on June 16, celebrating his 90th birthday surrounded by his loved ones.
