Border Patrol Chief John R. Modlin said investigators were working with Pinal County Sheriff’s Office K9 handlers during the operation.
Investigators and agents found the pills after stopping the vehicle. Both the driver and passengers in the vehicle are U.S. citizens and could face criminal charges.
Two Americans and four immigrants were arrested by Wilcox station officials last Wednesday after they stopped near St. David, Arizona. A migrant was found hiding in the trunk of a sedan.

Modlin said two Americans and four immigrants were arrested by Wilcox station officials after a traffic stop near St. David, Arizona, in another operation the same day.
Modlin noted that one of the migrants was found hiding in the trunk of a car. Officials warn that trunk smuggling could become very dangerous as temperatures rise.
